For over 30 years Turkey and Iran have been bombing and shelling villages on the borders of Iraqi Kurdistan.

Those who have been displaced, killed and suffered because of these bombardments are calling on the Kurdish Regional Government (KRG) to provide compensation, protection and support through the Hear Us Now campaign.

You are invited to join them in this campaign by writing to the KRG representative office near you, informing them of the bombings and asking them to take action on this issue.

I am writing to you because I am concerned about how Turkish bombings and Iranian shelling is affecting civilians in Iraqi Kurdistan. People are killed and injured, houses and farm lands are destroyed, thousands of people have been displaced from their villages.

In solidarity with those families that have lost someone in the bombings, I ask you to put pressure on the KRG government to:

Take steps to protect the civilians in the areas being bombed

Compensate the families whose members have been killed and/or injured

Meet with the families to hear their concerns and what support they need
